About Me

 

I am Basma Al-hajali a psychologist, founder and director of the Cedra Center for Special Education and Rehabilitation in Ajman, which was founded in 2006 and continues to provide its services to this day.

I have a postgraduate degree in special education and disability in addition to a bachelor's degree in psychology, which has opened the way for me to be responsible for the evaluation and diagnosis of all cases that reach the center and of course this has gained me a great experience over 19 years of work in this field, in addition to training many specialists who have joined the center. During my long work I have met many cases of children with mental problems and disorders as well as many parents who work to solve helping their children overcome their problems by finding professional specialists who are able to evaluate and diagnose the condition of their child and then find the best ways to treat it , and I have the right and modern experience and tools such as many tests and measures for diagnosis such as Bient Intelligent Scale,  Ados-2 , BASC-3 , Vainland .... etc) And relying on DSM-5  statistical diagnostic guide 5 for mental and psychological disorders.

I have many scientific contributions by participating in conferences with research materials, the most important of which is to research the Jordan Conference on Innovation and Creativity in 2018 through research on (using the Cort program as one of the thinking programs to find a suitable thinking base for children with special needs), in addition to scientific contributions with the Journal of Health and Medicine through several articles over the course of a whole year (weekly article) in different  topics  On the other hand, I lectured in many places in workshops and lectures on behavioral disorders and diagnostic methods and participated with many official and informal bodies in various events, the most important of which was an awareness campaign with the Ministry of Health in Dubai about ADHD in children diagnosed and methods of treatment and the difference between it and behavioral disorder in addition to participating in a workshop on the same disorder at the Sharjah Book Fair.

Recently I got the American Board as an applied behavioral analysis technician in applied behavioral analysis , and now work under the umbrella of the American Board and under monthly supervision by BCBA  , this helped me to use many therapeutic programs that are implemented using applied behavioral analysis strategies.
